ABOUT ERINβ¦
My love of art began in college while pursuing my degree in Business. During this time, I completed a few art courses which ended up being my favorite. Little did I know, these basic art skills would help me become a full-time artist later on in life.
In 2020, my daughters asked for paintings for their new rooms. I already had a love for creativity, which opened the idea of painting them myself. To my surprise, as I shared these pieces with everyone, it quickly sparked an interest in others who wanted paintings for their homes as well. As I continued to paint, I developed my original style which consisted of textured acrylic gold leaf sunsets, that were inspired by my love of sunsets that I learned from my father who unfortunately passed in 2014. As I grew up, I remember my father always doodling anywhere he could. He always had an interest in anything creative and artistic, which was also instilled in me at a young age.
My work has now evolved to my current style incorporating the textured acrylic and gold pen from my previous style, with the addition of watercolor acrylics on paper. I have always been drawn to the way thinning paint creates a transparent look when overlapped. The calming aesthetic of my work often draws one in, giving a sense of peace and tranquility. My love of interior design, nature, colors and texture also inspires my current work.
On my time off from the studio, I enjoy gardening, cooking and spending time with my husband, 4 beautiful children and 4 fur babies.
